The teacher – ”What type of house do you live in？”
The boy – ” I’m living in a detached house.”
The girl – ” I’m living in a マンション(mansion).”
The other students – ” Really!? That’s amazing!”
But the girl didn’t understand why they were so surprised.
The teacher – ” In English ‘mansion’ means a very big house.”
The teacher – ” マンション(mansion) in Japanese is ‘flat’ in British English and ‘apartment’ in American English.”
